Connect4Work: An introduction to computers for job seekers is a FREE program for adults (19+) who are interested in developing basic computer skills. Monthly Workshops, 2:00-5:00pm - REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR EACH WORKSHOP (please bring your own laptop if you have one) Session Topic - Meet the Laptop In this session you will:
  • Identify parts of the laptop
  • Turn laptop on and off
  • Use keyboard to type letters, numbers
  • Learn basic touchpad/mouse commands
  • Change laptop settings
  • Open a program
  • Minimize and maximize a window
  • Close a program
  • Turn laptop off, put in sleep mode, or restart the laptop as needed
