Land-Based Healing and Wellness

Mondays, April 8, 22, 29 & May 6, 13, 27

from 3:30pm to 5:30pm

Some of the planned activities include learning about traditional land stewardship, ethical gathering and making plant medicines. Plant medicine projects may include making salve/oil, infused sugar, bath balms, and health tea/beverages. Based on Indigenous principles of generosity, participants will make plant medicines to both give away and to keep for personal wellness.

The program is available to up to twelve adult participants aged 15 and older. Participants must be able to walk on uneven terrain and to bend and lift buckets.

There is a cost of $50 (returned as a gift card upon completion).

This course will be co-facilitated by Elder Clara Jack and Lauren Aldred, MA-PPL.

Please call CNC Fort St. James at 250-996-7019 to register.

Funding for this program is made available through the Indigenous Sport Physical Activity and Recreation and Council and the Health Arts Research Centre (UNBC).
