Connect4Work: An introduction to computers for job seekers is a FREE program for adults (19+) who are interested in developing basic computer skills.
Monthly Workshops, 2:00-5:00pm – REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR EACH WORKSHOP (please bring your own laptop if you have one)
Session Topic – Meet the Laptop
In this session you will:
- Identify parts of the laptop
- Turn laptop on and off
- Use keyboard to type letters, numbers
- Learn basic touchpad/mouse commands
- Change laptop settings
- Open a program
- Minimize and maximize a window
- Close a program
- Turn laptop off, put in sleep mode, or restart the laptop as needed
